Taiki Okinawa

Taiki Okinawa is a social welfare organization in Okinawa that provides daily support, vocational training, and creative opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The facility offers a safe and encouraging environment where members can develop practical skills, build confidence, and engage with the community through meaningful work programs.

Craftmaking is an important part of their activities. Through painting and small‑batch handmade goods, the artists create pieces that reflect both Okinawan culture and their own individuality. By sharing these works beyond the facility, Taiki Okinawa supports the preservation of local traditions while fostering independence and personal growth for its artisans.
